About

I am a high school English teacher by day who has been traveling around the world in my spare time for years! My wanderlust began at the bright age of 14 when I journeyed to Australia for three weeks with People to People Student Ambassadors. Since that first trip, I have traveled extensively whenever the opportunity arose. I took a summer course in Burgundy, France and fell in love with the French lifestyle, returning to Paris and Marseille for a summer trip solo through France and Italy (a trip on which I took only a large handbag for three weeks!).  I studied abroad in Ireland, learning the wonderful freedom of truly independent travel. I taught English in Thailand for 5 months after graduating from college and have returned once since then to introduce that piece of my past to my now-husband; it remains the place I know best after my home state of Vermont. Also on my existing list of escapades are India, a long-standing childhood dream fulfilled, Cambodia, as a weekend excursion while teaching, Iceland, in the winter no less! Most recently, I returned from my honeymoon over Christmas in Belgium! I’m currently planning trips to Peru, France (again, I can’t stop), and Greece for the near-ish future (I do have to teach occasionally).
